One more thing
Ummm, this baby. It will be coming in a few months. I can't begin to tell you how overwhelmed I am trying to figure out what we do and don't need. Crib or bassinet or pack n' play or all or some? Should the baby sleep in our room for the first few months where there is little room to maneuver) or in the bedroom right next door to us. Should I get a sling or an Ergo carrier? Do I worry about buying a breast pump and bottles now or later? Swing or bouncy seat? Don't get me started on choosing a particular crib and any other item. Trying to take into account safety, price, size (we're talking apartment here), style, and actual usefulness is an equation I have not yet figured out. Have I mentioned that I hate shopping?
A million things to do
Choose bathroom tile because of a leak from our upstairs neighbor. I have a hole in my kitchen wall and a hole in my bathroom wall and a six-months pregnant woman needs this like a a hole in the head.
Buy a dress for a wedding next month. Where I will be seven months pregnant. Now would be a good time to interject that I hate shopping. I have never understood how the therapy part of "retail therapy" didn't refer to what you needed after you went shopping.
Write a recommendation letter for a student.
Practice for a service this weekend.
Get to the drugstore to deal with my stupid eye that is inflamed. I've had contact lenses for 20 years and my husband thinks Lasik is a dangerous procedure. I can't perform my job without lenses and this is tthe second serious inflammation I've had in three years. Last one was right before my wedding. This one, during my pregnancy. Stress much?
Go to the supermarket to stock up on pasta and canned tomatoes on sale.
Teach.
Try not to collapse into tears every time someone iis annoying or rude.

There are times when you just need to vent, a lot
Hence Venti Grande. Ironic considering that I'm not a Starbucks fan. I only go there for steamed apple cider. I go to Dunkin Donuts for coffee which I'm not drinking much of these days. I'm pregnant and the caffeine is a no-no.
So what do I need to talk about? All the stuff I can't talk about on my other site where I'm not cloaked in anonymity. Pregnancy, finances, life, career issues, personal thoughts... I just need it out there and not stuck inside me. So here we start.
